Bluerock Diamonds PLC (AIM:BRD) said it sold three higher value gem quality diamonds for a combined value of $180,000 as part of its November tender.
The company, which owns and controls the Kareevlei diamond mine in South Africa, said the November tender was its third largest by sale price this year.
The AIM-quoted company sold two 7.6 carats diamonds and one 6.5 carats diamond for US$67,000, US$61,000 and US$53,000 respectively.
"The market remains remarkably buoyant as highlighted by our November tender results, which achieved an average value of US$496 per carat; this is up on the pre-Covid prices achieved in 2019 of US$415," said executive chair Mike Houston.
BlueRock noted that August was its strongest month, with the company selling three diamonds for a combined value of over US$1mln, whilst May and September were its quietest, with one gem sold in each month, at US$52,000 and US$64,000 in turn.
