Directa Plus to sign air and water filtration development deal

The producer and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets-based products said its prospective partner is a major player in the non-woven materials industry

Directa Plus PLC (AIM:DCTA, OTC:DTPKF) is set to sign an agreement with a global chemicals and materials group that will see the pair co-develop products targeting air and water filtration markets.

The unnamed company is said to be “a major player in the non-woven materials industry” and is based in Italy.

The deal is set to run for an initial period of 12 months and will see the two parties collaborate exclusively to develop specific products for the global air and water filtration markets. If the initial collaboration is successful and the technical results envisaged are achieved, the two companies will negotiate a technical and commercial partnership agreement.

"In the advanced material arena there is no shortage of technologies; however, combining the most appropriate technologies to come up with products that customers actually want and need is in short supply", Giulio Cesareo, the founder and chief executive officer of Directa Plus said.

"The significant investment made by our partner in advanced non-woven production and their know-how coupled with our disruptive G+ graphene technology could see our graphene products becoming a real innovation accelerator, drastically reducing the time-to-market for new products”.
