Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR, OTC:AMEUF) has reported all five patients from its first-in-human DurAVR™ heart valve study have passed the seven-day follow-up mark.
This means that when the ASX-lister checked in with the study’s patients seven days after their procedure, all were responding in line with clinical expectations.
Anteris reports that all five patients have been assessed and their performance status is excellent.
Now, the biotech is looking to the 30-day milestone — the next big check-up in the follow-up pipeline.
Bringing a life-changing solution
Speaking to the follow-up, Anteris chief medical officer Dr Chris Meduri said the company’s patients had passed the seven-day follow up and all patients were doing well.
“We are pleased to see our early observations during the procedures continue and the patient’s clinical status is excellent.
“The next milestone will be the 30-day follow up and we look forward to reviewing the patients at that time.”
Anteris CEO Wayne Paterson echoed Dr Meduri’s comments.
“With the seven-day follow up now passed, we are excited to see all patients are benefiting from the DurAVR™ valve.
“Most of these patients had very poor performance status prior to receiving DurAVR™ and we are very pleased to be able to bring this life-changing solution to them in this study.
“The 30-day follow up will be an important marker and give us clear insights as to how beneficial DurAVR™ has been in these patients from a clinical perspective.”
