Fireweed Zinc shares begin trading on the OTCQB in the US

The company said the OTCQB listing will help introduce it to a wider audience in the US and improve overall liquidity

Fireweed Zinc Ltd (TSX-V:FWZ) has announced that its common shares will begin trading today on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol FWEDF.

The company said its stock will continue to trade on the TSX Venture Exchange in Canada under the symbol FWZ.

“This listing on the OTCQB will help introduce Fireweed to a wider audience in the US and in doing so improve overall liquidity,” Fireweed Zinc CEO Brandon Macdonald said in a statement.

“Combined with our primary listing on the TSX-Venture Exchange and our listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange we are well positioned to attract investors globally,” Macdonald added.

Fireweed Zinc noted that quotes for its US symbol will be available at www.otcmarkets.com/stock/FWEDF/quote.

Fireweed Zinc is a mineral exploration company focused on zinc-lead-silver and managed by a veteran team of mining industry professionals.

The company is advancing its district-scale 940 kilometre Macmillan Pass project in Canada’s Yukon territory, which is host to the 100% owned Tom and Jason zinc-lead-silver deposits with current Mineral Resources and a Preliminary Economic Study (PEA) economic study.
