AG Barr (LSE:BAG), maker of Irn Bru and the Funkin range, has raised its profits and sales targets after better than expected volumes across its range.
Revenues for the year to end January 2022 are now anticipated to be about £264m and profit before tax around £41m with both higher than current market forecasts.
New product launches have gone better than expected, Barr said, while sales of "on the go" and in the hospitality sector have rebounded strongly.
This volume growth had helped it offset supply chain and cost pressures, Barr added.
COVID-19 remains a risk, it said, especially with the situation changing rapidly, but otherwise, the good revenue momentum should continue into 2022 said the soft drinks group.
