IPO advent calendar: the 31 stocks set to hit the ASX in December

Companies have flocked to the ASX this year, with a barrage of stocks hitting the local share market in the last 11 months ... and more to come.

Christmas is just around the corner, and Santa is rounding out 2021 with a flurry of ASX debuts.

While it has been a turbulent year for many on the board — think travel stocks, tourism and utilities — the initial public offering (IPO) market has thrived.

Companies have flocked to the ASX this year, with a barrage of stocks hitting the local share market in the last 11 months.

The ASX’s business development manager for listings, Kate Galpin, said the ASX kept pace after 2020’s especially strong fourth quarter.

“Healthy IPO momentum persisted in the first half of 2021, at a slightly more civilised pace, as economic conditions and investor interest remained strong,” she explained.

“In the first six months of 2021, 85 companies joined the ASX board, raising $3.5 billion of capital and listing with a combined market capitalisation of $22.8 billion.”

That momentum has only grown in 2021’s second half: on Friday, AI-powered medtech Artrya Ltd (ASX:AYA) became the 208th company to hit the board.
