Moho Resources Ltd (ASX:MOH) has begun reverse circulation (RC) drilling to test its priority Omrah and Wise nickel prospects within the Silver Swan North project in Western Australia.
The drilling program is targeting an electromagnetic (EM) conductor for ultramafic hosted massive and disseminated nickel sulphide mineralisation and other ultramafics in the vicinity
Moho recently identified three priority exploration targets for nickel within its granted tenements at Silver Swan.
Drill program
The company has planned a 3,000-metre RC and diamond drilling program to not only test the EM conductor but also additional ultramafic lithologies in the proximity of the project.
Subsequently, the rig will then move to the nearby Wise prospect to begin 1,200 metres of RC drilling to investigate magnetic anomalies associated with ultramafic rocks and anomalous historic nickel intercepts.
Moho managing director Shane Sadleir said: “We are looking forward to testing the EM conductor at Omrah, given the potential for discovery of nickel sulphide mineralisation and the proximity to Poseidon Nickel’s massive and disseminated nickel sulphide deposits.”
Exploration Incentive Scheme grant
Moho was recently awarded a grant of $150,000 for the Silver Swan North Project under the Western Australian Government's Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) program.
The CEI grant will be used by Moho to fund up to 50% of drilling costs associated with the RC and diamond drilling program to test the potential komatiitic ultramafics associated with the Omrah nickel prospect.

Moho Resources is focused on gold and nickel exploration at Empress Springs, Silver Swan North and Burracoppin.
The company considers Empress Springs in Queensland, which comprises three adjacent exploration permits with a total area of around 773 square kilometres, to have the potential for base metal mineralisation.
Silver Swan North Project is around 50 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie and covers about 55 square kilometres within the gold-rich Kalgoorlie Terrane while Burracoppin further to the west is also prospective for gold.
