Oklo Resources Ltd (ASX:OKU) have intersected very high-grade gold mineralisation at the Disse target within its wholly-owned Dandoko Project in West Mali, intersecting up to 53.0 g/t in exploration drilling and extending known gold mineralisation at the target.
Disse extends more than 500 metres in strike length, constituting a small component of the company’s mineral resource estimate (MRE) announced in March this year. The MRE was defined by wide-spaced 100-150 metre sections, with all mineralisation in the inferred category.
Notable intervals of high-grade primary gold mineralisation included:
- 3 metres at 19.94 g/t gold from 85 metres, including 1-metre at 39.60 g/t from 85 metres;
- 3 metres at 5.78 g/t from 84 metres;
- 18 metres at 2.70 g/t from 180 metres, including 7 metres at 6.15 g/t from 190 metres with 1-metre at 25.20 g/t from 195 metres;
- 21 metres at 1.33 g/t from 37 metres, including 6 metres at 2.19 g/t from 49 metres;
- 7 metres at 9.42 g/t from 79 metres, including 2 metres at 30.80 g/t from 79 metres with 1-metre at 53.00 g/t from 80 metres;
- 23 metres at 1.26 g/t from 69 metres, including 7 metres at 2.63 g/t from 80 metres with 1-metre at 10.20 g/t from 80 metres.
“Excellent results”
Oklo Resources managing director, Simon Taylor commented: “These excellent results further confirm Disse as an emerging high-grade target in fresh rock to complement the largely shallow oxide resource at Seko.
“The results have extended the mineralisation both at depth and along strike with further drilling planned.
“The current 9,000-metre resource expansion drilling program is making good progress, having now completed additional holes at Seko including a deep diamond hole under SK2 and at targets along strike from SK1 with results pending.”
Ongoing work programs
- The initial 9,000-metre resource expansion drilling program is progressing to plan with further assay results expected during December.
- The program is focusing on shallow oxide and deeper primary gold mineralisation at Seko, Disse and Koko, with the next phase of deep drilling to be assisted by the results pending from the 3D Induced Polarisation (IP) and passive seismic geophysical surveys completed over the wet season.
- The initial drilling program is scheduled for completion in early Q1 2022 with the next phase planned to follow up the recent discoveries at Sari and Kandiole.
- Technical (scoping) and environmental studies are well advanced.
