Aquis Exchange PLC (AIM:AQX) said it appointed Glenn Collinson as its new chair to succeed Niki Beattie, who is stepping down after nine years on the Aquis board.
Collinson will take up his role on 1 January 2022, the exchange services group said in a statement.
Collinson joined the Aquis board in March 2019 before transferring to the board of Aquis Stock Exchange Ltd (AQSE) in March 2020. He then rejoined the group's board in September this year as an independent non-executive director.
He previously worked for Racal, Motorola (NYSE:MSI), Texas Instruments and Cambridge Consultants Ltd. He co-founded Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) in 1998 and helped grow the company from a concept to a US$3 billion market capitalisation entity in 2006.
He is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, holds an MSc in Electronics from Durham University and an MBA from Cranfield University. He was a member of the CSR team that was awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering's MacRobert Award for Innovation in 2005.
