Global Energy Ventures Ltd (ASX:GEV) has thanked retired chairperson Maurice Brand for his considerable contribution to the company while also welcoming Andrew Pickering to the role.
Brand retired as chair following the company’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday, November 24, after serving in this capacity since November 24, 2016.
GEV's managing director and CEO Martin Carolan said, “The board of the company thanks Mr Brand for his valuable contribution to the company over the past five years and we wish him the very best in retirement. The management team will value his ongoing support as a shareholder in the company.”
The appointment of Pickering, a current non-executive director, is effective immediately.
"Furthermore, the board is delighted that Mr Pickering has accepted the responsibility of chairing the board of the company,” Carolan said.
"Mr Pickering, as incoming chairperson, brings extensive private and public company experience and leadership skills which will be invaluable in the next phase of the company’s development.”
