Decentraland, the metaverse-focused alt-coin, surged another 24% to $5.13 – marking it out as the best performer amongst the ‘top 30’ cryptocurrencies by market cap.
The price spike coincided with news that virtual real estate in Decentraland’s virtual world had sold for a record $2.4mln.
In other crypto news … a bill to ban private cryptocurrencies in India will be introduced in the winter session. The central bank of India also intends to create its own digital currency “to create a facilitative framework for the creation of the official digital currency to be issued by the Reserve Bank of India."
