Great Western Mining Corp PLC has appointed Dr. James Blight as exploration manager as it continues to explore and develop gold, silver and copper targets in Mineral County, Nevada.
Blight will join the company on November 29 and will review the company's proposed 2022 work programme, including further drilling and ongoing plans for the reprocessing of spoil heaps and tailings.
He is a Chartered Professional affiliated to the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has experience in vein-hosted gold and base-metals exploration. His career has included frontier and near-mine exploration, resource interpretation, infill drill programmes, pre-feasibility studies and assessment of mined materials for potential reprocessing operations.
Blight has worked on projects in West Africa, Ethiopia, the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and in peri-arctic Sweden. While in Saudi Arabia he identified and sampled the Red Hill gold target, which became a 40,000-ounce satellite deposit.
