Pantoro Ltd (ASX:PNR) has been able to continue reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Lamboo platinum group element (PGE) discovery at the Halls Creek Project in WA to follow-up results earlier this month described as “outstanding”.
After previously advising that there would be no further drilling until after the wet season, the company has secured a drill rig and crew in the Halls Creek region of WA’s north.
This enables Pantoro to maintain the momentum at Lamboo after drilling defined a further 1.2 kilometres of PGE mineralisation on the basal contact of the West Limb and Southern Ore Zone .

The best result returned last week was 100 metres at 1.10 g/t platinum+palladium+gold (3E) from surface including 66 metres at 1.34 g/t. All the areas drilled to date remain open in all directions.
More than 1.5 kilometres in total mineralised strike have now been drilled and defined out of a potential 20 kilometres basal contact target.
A wide consistent mineralised PGE zone has been defined from surface to more than 150 metres vertical and remains open.
At the time managing director Paul Cmrlec said: “The Lamboo PGE deposit is rapidly shaping up as an outstanding discovery on the doorstep of our Halls Creek gold operations.
“Drilling to date has revealed a remarkably consistent deposit with large mineralisation widths commencing from surface over a long strike length.”
Drilling resumes
On securing the rig and crew, drilling began last weekend and is intended to continue for as long as weather conditions allow in the lead up to the regular wet season rainfall.
In addition, multi-element assays and mineralogical study work are underway. Multi-element assays are expected to identify potentially economic metals in addition to platinum, palladium and gold.
Shares have been as much as 3.8% higher to $0.332 while the company's market cap before opening was approximately $450.9 million.
