Silvercorp Metals Inc (TSX:SVM, AMEX:SVM), the metals producer, told investors it has published its annual sustainability report for fiscal 2021, outlining the group's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) credentials.
The company said it integrated "ESG factors into its strategic planning, operations, and management, generating impactful change in its communities and creating sustainable economic, social, and environmental value for all stakeholders".
Silvercorp's core objectives are to be safe, efficient, and sustainable, and operate responsibly with the environment and cooperatively with local communities, it added.

In November 2020, the company reported that its TLP, LME, LMW and HPG mines in the Ying mining district in Henan, and its GC mine in the Guangdong province, had been certified as green mines in China.
The firm had said the coveted green mine designation was awarded to mines that “minimize adverse impacts on the environment” and adopt scientific design and measures to ensure sustainable development from mine development to closure.
