Aminex PLC (LSE:AEX) and Scirocco Energy PLC (AIM:SCIR) have received full payment for past gas sales from the Kiliwani North project, in Tanzania.
The payments were made by the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation. Aminex said in a statement it will retain US$1.85mln from the payment after tax and export duties. Scirocco will receive its US$150,000 share of the payments, after tax and duties.
Aminex executive chair Charlie Santos said: “We would like to thank the TPDC for the timely payment of the settlement monies and continued support."
Tom Reynolds, Scirocco chief executive, added: “We are delighted that resolution of this longstanding issue has been reached and payments have been received. We thank TPDC for their efforts in bringing this to a mutually beneficially conclusion."
