Skinny Drinks Group, the plant-based, zero-calorie, sugar-free drinks company, has teamed up with Waitrose to launch its Skinny Tonic in Dubai.
As well as being on shelf in all Waitrose’s supermarkets in the region, the company revealed it is in talks with some of the highest-profile hotels in the upmarket tourist resort about featuring Skinny Tonic on their cocktail menus.
Meanwhile, the company has developed and manufactured Marks and Spencer Group PLC’s tonic water range, which is now available in M&S outlets nationwide.
Skinny Drinks said it is expecting extremely strong sales in the run-up to the festive period.
“We are delighted to be working with some of the most prestigious retailers in the UK and beyond. We have a dual channel business which is growing at an exceptional rate and we will continue to take advantage of growth opportunities as they come along. Our hero brand Skinny Tonic is starting to gain some real traction which will further increase shareholder value and discussions have started regarding a potential stock market listing towards the end of next year,” said Steve Wilkinson, the company’s co-founder.
The company is in talks about its growth financing requirements ahead of its planned initial public offering (IPO) and has launched a fundraising exercise in which it is looking to raise up to £12mln.
“We are extremely pleased to confirm that we have won some very significant contracts with a leading UK retailer for 2022. We will now be looking to grow our team and our manufacturing capabilities even further,” Wilkinson revealed.
