Kontrol Technologies Corp (NEO:KNR, OTCQB:KNRLF) said that its BioCloud technology had successfully detected the COVID-19 virus in four individuals in real time.
BioCloud is an unobtrusive wall-mounted technology with a real-time analyzer designed to detect airborne viruses by sampling the air quality over time.
The successful detection was completed as part of Kontrol's internal data, analytics, and reporting, as supported by PCR testing and independent laboratory confirmation of positive detection results, the company noted in a statement.

The unit has a proprietary detection chamber that can be replaced as needed if and when viruses are detected, and an alert system is created in the cloud or over local intranet.
"Completing multiple successful positive detections represents another significant milestone achieved for BioCloud,” said Paul Ghezzi, CEO of Kontrol.
“In addition, we were able to collect a significant amount of real-time data that will provide additional value to our partners, customers and other applicable relevant organizations. The in-field validation provides critical information on the operation of BioCloud in the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and further advances BioCloud as a leading ambient air monitoring technology."
BioCloud was designed as an early detection system for viruses and pathogens by continuously monitoring and sampling the ambient air in rooms where individuals gather, according to Kontrol BioCloud’s president Gary Saunders.
"The results achieved through real-time detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is further validation of the value of our technology, and the important data collected in real-time will be shared with researchers and government agencies,” Saunders said.
