Bam Bam Resources (CSE:BBR) Corp. revealed that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Nevada has accepted its second amendment notice and the required bond is in place for expanded drilling at the company's flagship Majuba Hill Copper project in Pershing County, Nevada.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said that “the additional drill sites are planned to expand the Majuba-known copper oxide” and test the Induced Polarization (IP) resistivity anomaly that suggests more deep porphyry may underly the DeSoto copper oxide target.
In a statement, Bam Bam Resources CEO David Greenway said: "The additional permitting is very timely because we have the drill rig on-site. This is an ideal time to drill for a possible westward extension to our known copper-oxide area."
Bam Bam's flagship project is the Majuba Hill copper, silver and gold district, which is located 156 miles from Reno, Nevada.
Between 1907 and 1960, Majuba Hill produced 2.8 million pounds of copper and 184,000 ounces of silver. Bam Bam's project spans 4,822 acres of surface and mineral rights on the mountain and the company reckons there is far more metal to discover.
The company believes that copper, among other metals, will play a crucial role in the progression of the electric vehicles (EV) sector.
