Co-Diagnostics (NASDAQ:CODX) Inc has said it will be awarded the 'Innovation Impact Award' at the 2021 BioUtah Life Sciences awards which will be presented on Friday, November 12, 2021, during a virtual ceremony in which pre-recorded videos of the winners will be unveiled.
Co-Diagnostics CEO Dwight Egan will accept the award on behalf of the company. The company will be releasing its latest earnings after the market close today, November 11, 2021.
Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, BioUtah said the award is for Co-Diagnostics' high-quality, cost-efficient coronavirus (COVID-19) test, which is deployed in the US and throughout the world.
The test, a real-time PCR test using the company's patented CoPrimer technology, was one of the first COVID-19 PCR tests in the nation to receive emergency use authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the first from a US-based company to receive a CE marking, playing an important role in expanding testing early in the pandemic.
