Avation completes sale of its oldest aircraft

"Avation has a policy of focusing on new design, young and fuel-efficient aircraft," said executive chairman Jeff Chatfield

Avation PLC (LSE:AVAP) said it completed the sale of a 20-year-old Airbus A321-200 aircraft, the oldest on its books.

The commercial passenger aircraft leasing company’s executive chairman Jeff Chatfield said: "Avation has a policy of focusing on new design, young and fuel-efficient aircraft.

“This A321 was Avation's oldest aircraft at about 20 years old, and thus was an ideal candidate for disposal".

Last month, the company reassured investors all its leases remain in force and ongoing, and had made “substantial progress” leasing or selling the aircraft returned by Virgin Australia (ASX:VAH) during the pandemic as well as terminating lease amendments made during the earlier part of the crisis.
