AdAlta Ltd (ASX:1AD) has teamed up with corporate advisory specialists Spark Plus to assist the company with its capital markets and investor relations strategy in Asia with a particular focus on Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
Spark Plus is an Asian roadshow specialist giving Australian companies access to a booming neighbouring market, providing advice on finance in the region and access to a database of hedge and mutual funds, family offices, private banks and brokers.
The company, which has facilitated more than 250 roadshows for ASX listed companies into Asia and advised on financing and Asian market entry, has agreed to accept shares in lieu of fees for the first six months of the AdAlta partnership.

“Asian pharmaceutical markets are now comparable in size to Europe and growing more rapidly. Diseases like Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and Interstitial Lung Diseases affect the Asian population at a higher rate than western patients,” AdAlta CEO Tim Oldham said.
“We believe our lead asset, AD-214 which targets these disease areas, and our advancing pipeline of fibrosis and oncology assets offer a compelling investment case to investors in this region. We look forward to working with Spark Plus to expand our coverage in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.”

Clinical stage drug development company AdAlta is using its proprietary i-body technology to solve challenging drug targeting problems and generate a promising new class of single-domain antibody protein therapeutics with the potential to treat some of today’s most challenging medical conditions.
The i-body technology mimics an antigen-binding domain originally discovered in sharks and has now been developed as a human protein. This class of protein has the potential to target the G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) that are implicated in fibrosis, inflammation and cancer. AdAlta’s i-body technology is the first fully human single domain antibody scaffold and the first based on the shark motif to reach clinical trials.
Phase I clinical trials have been completed for AdAlta’s lead i-body candidate, AD-214, which is being developed for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and other human fibrotic diseases – groundbreaking in a field where current therapies are sub-optimal.
AdAlta is also brokering partnerships with health organisations to co-develop the i-body technology as a diagnostic imaging agent and to develop therapies to bring new hope to patients with cancer.
