Marvel Discovery Corp has announced assay results from 2021 Phase 1 drilling on its 100% owned Black Fly gold project near Atikokan, Ontario, which included 50.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 0.5 metres (m) starting from 39.2m depth.
The company said the Phase 1 program was “successful” in drilling fill-in holes, extending the historical Black Fly structure, and investigating new gold bearing zones discovered in the 2021 surface and mapping program.
“New drilling has expanded the Black Fly zone by 130m in strike, with visible gold present in multiple holes hitting as high as 50 g/t near surface, with current mapping and sampling we have further confirmed the presence of new gold bearing structures to target,” Marvel Discovery CEO Karim Rayani said in a statement.

“These results show the continuity and potential of the Black Fly Project,” Rayani added.
Marvel noted that nine diamond drill holes were completed, for a total of 1,116.3m, with gold mineralization intersected in all of them.
It added that further diamond drilling was budgeted, with a Phase Two program expected to follow up and expand on the 2021 results.
Marvel Discovery has some 10 projects currently and is looking for gold, nickel, copper, cobalt and vanadium in Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland, while also being on the hunt for rare earth elements (REE) and uranium in British Columbia.
