TomaGold Corp (TSX-V:LOT) revealed the first set of drill results from its initial phase of an 11,500-metre program on its Obalski property in Quebec.
Highlights from the results include 1.41 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 28.5 metres (m), including 6.84 g/t gold over 1.5m and 4.03 g/t gold over 4.5m.
The first phase of the program consisted of 14 holes for a total of 4,751m in the ground. The results of an additional three holes are forthcoming, according to Montreal-based TomaGold.

Another hole intersected 0.33 g/t gold over 54.8m, including 1.44 g/t gold over 3.5m.
CEO David Grondin told investors that the firm discovered “much larger gold structures than were previously known” during the first round of drilling, adding that the structures appear to be widening at depth.
“As is the case with many deposits in the Chibougamau mining camp, Obalski appears to have excellent potential at depth, as very few holes over 300m long have been drilled on this property,” Grondin said in a statement.
“Our next round of drilling, combined with the gyroscopic survey results, will allow us to better understand the mineral potential of Obalski at depth.”
The Obalski property spans 345 hectares just south of Chibougamau, Quebec. Discovered in 1928, Obalski historically produced 100,273 tonnes at grades of 1.14% copper, 2.08 g/t gold and 6.04 g/t silver from the A zone between 1964 to 1972, and around 9,000 tonnes at a reported grade of 8.5 g/t gold from the D zone in 1984.
TomaGold has interests in five gold properties near the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec.
