Of the device partners — including Apple, Microsoft Hololens, Magicleap, Realwear, and MAD Gaze — Apple chose Nextech to highlight the company’s AR technology on its devices.
“With Augmented Reality and 5G, we are transforming the world into a 3D holographic Metaverse experience. With partners like Singtel and Apple, we will be able to create a connected, digital world and the framework for the Metaverse,” said Nextech AR CEO Evan Gappelberg in a statement. “Nextech AR scales 3D creation and extends that to our spatial mapping platform to realize city-scale AR experiences and activations.”
Apple will be providing a variety of hardware devices for the event, including an iPhone 13, iPad Pro, iPad Mini and Apple TV for Nextech to use when showcasing its AR. The company said that using Apple’s hardware and new technology, such as Lidar, ARKit, and their new M1 chips, Nextech will showcase how its AR solutions are compatible and deployable with Apple hardware.
5G is the fifth generation of cellular networks that enables a new kind of network that is designed to connect everyone and everything together, including machines, objects, and devices. 5G wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra-low latency, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability, and a more uniform user experience to more users.
Nextech said that it will be showcasing AR labs, human holograms, AR portals, and CAD to POLY for 3D AR models.
The company said that being selected by Singtel — Asia’s leading communications technology group — underscores a momentum that Nextech is seeing around its portfolio of Metaverse and AR solutions.
Earlier, the company also announced the launch of ARitize Metaverse Studio, a software development kit offered as SaaS.
Nextech is a Metaverse company that develops and operates augmented reality platforms, transporting three-dimensional product visualizations, human holograms, and 360° portals to its audiences altering e-commerce, digital advertising, hybrid virtual events and learning and training experiences.
