The Royal Mint Physical Gold ETC (LSE:RMAU)’s (RMPG) semi-annual audit, conducted by gold bullion experts at the Alex Stuart International Corporation, revealed that 100% of its gold produced post 2019 complies with LBMA Responsible Gold Sourcing Policy, according to a statement from HANetf.
This is the highest sustainable gold policy, meaning it is the top standard of gold in terms of metal quality, ethical trading and responsible sourcing.
LBMA established the responsible gold guidance to combat abuses of human rights, to avoid contributing to conflict, to comply with high standards of anti- money laundering and to combat terrorist financing practice.
The Royal Mint ETC is the only gold exchange-traded product (ETP) issued and backed by a European sovereign mint.
Sovereign mints are owned and operated by sovereign governments which typically focus on the production of legal coinage for circulation.
HANetf publishes the gold bar list on its website by listing all bars held in custody to back the ETC, and also protects investors by ensuring all bars are untampered with.
