DCC says all of its divisions delivered growth in first half as revenue jumped 27%

DCC's four divisions are: LPG, Retail & Oil, Healthcare and Technology

DCC PLC (LSE:DCC), a sales, marketing and support services group, said all of its divisions delivered growth in the first half, despite the global volatility in commodity pricing, supply chains and inflation.

Adjusted operating profit grew 11% from the year-earlier period to £195.8mln for the six months to end September 2021, while revenue jumped 27% to £7.518bn.

"I am pleased to report a strong performance in the seasonally less significant first half, which builds on the growth recorded during the first half of the prior year,” said chief executive Donal Murphy. “Each of our four divisions has delivered good growth, underlining the resilience of our business model and our ability to adapt to the very volatile macro environment.”

The FTSE 100 company increased its interim dividend to 55.85 pence per share from 51.95p.

It said it continues to expect that the year to end March 2022 will be another period of strong operating profit growth and continued development activity. Notwithstanding the adverse impact of currency translation and the significantly higher wholesale energy costs, it sees full-year profit in line with current market consensus expectations.

“With the strength of our market positions and an active acquisition pipeline, DCC has the capability and financial strength to continue the growth and development of the group across the energy, healthcare and technology sectors," added Murphy.
