Enteq Technologies PLC (AIM:NTQ) told investors that the SABER drilling system has proven successful in reaching the development programme milestones and validating all expectations to date.
The company, in a statement, highlighted successes in an ongoing field trial programme for SABER – technology that has been licensed from Royal Dutch Shell and has been re-engineered by Enteq – which is ongoing.
In initial field trials, downhole testing in a live drilling environment, SABER’s control system has successfully demonstrated the ability to operate correctly, Enteq noted. This part of the trials is continuing.
SABER additionally performed well during system testing and the company said it has delivered an operating range that’s better than predicted which results in an increased ability to control the drill.
Enteq, meanwhile, highlighted that SABER will be marketed in selected operating regions, with the scope to expand the product range with additional system sizes.
It plans to exhibit the product along with its other products at the ADIPEC trade exhibition in Abu Dhabi from November 15 to 18.
