BioSig Technologies Inc said it is installing its PURE EP system for an evaluation at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, one of the largest hospitals in the US in terms based on the number of available beds.
The company noted it now has 15 installed centers following the 90-day evaluation agreement with Methodist Hospital.
“Texas is one of the three strategic areas that we are focusing on in the targeted commercial launch phase, and we are very pleased to welcome another Texas center to our customer base,” BioSig Technologies CEO Kenneth Londoner said in a statement.

“We look forward to bringing our technology to more physicians in Texas to advance our clinical and commercial strategies further,” Londoner added.
BioSig said more than 71 physicians to date have completed over 1,600 patient cases with the PURE EP system across 13 clinical sites.
It added that it is in a focused commercial launch of the PURE EP system in the northeast, Texas, and Florida.
As well, BioSig has announced that clinical data acquired by the PURE EP system in a multi-center study at Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute at St David’s Medical Center, Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and Massachusetts General Hospital was recently published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.
The company said the study results showed 93% consensus across the blinded reviewers with a 75% overall improvement in intracardiac signal quality and confidence in interpreting PURE EP signals over conventional sources.
PURE EP is a computerized system intended for acquiring, digitizing, amplifying, filtering, measuring and calculating, displaying, recording and storing of electrocardiographic and intracardiac signals for patients undergoing electrophysiology (EP) procedures in an EP laboratory.
