Spiritus Mundi plans London IPO

The company will seek acquisition targets in Europe and Asia in the clinical diagnostics sector, including clinical laboratory services, clinical diagnostics and digital health

Spiritus Mundi PLC, a special purpose acquisition vehicle, said it plans to list on the main market of the London Stock Exchange via an initial public offering (IPO).

The company was set up by Zaccheus Peh, an experienced developer of clinical diagnostics, laboratory services and medical services businesses. He is the company’s non-executive chairman.

Spiritus Mundi said it will seek acquisition targets in Europe and Asia in the clinical diagnostics sector, including clinical laboratory services, clinical diagnostics and digital health.

It said it has identified a number of potentially promising acquisitions. Any acquisition will be treated as a reverse takeover under the listing rules.

The company said it has already raised £1.2mln in a pre-IPO fundraising round.

“We believe there are attractive long term acquisition opportunities in our chosen sectors of laboratory and diagnostic testing and digital healthcare, as demonstrated by the recent surge in PCR testing for COVID -19,” said Peh.

“We plan to use Spiritus Mundi as a vehicle to acquire one or more exciting businesses in these areas in order to generate attractive returns for our shareholders."

VSA Capital Limited has been appointed as the company's financial adviser and broker.
