Pacific Empire Minerals Corp (PEMC) said it has staked three mineral tenures totaling 5,441 hectares, which will be known as the Abby property, located adjacent to Northwest Copper Corp's Kwanika property in British Columbia.
The company noted the Abby property is also adjacent its Pinnacle property.
“Following the release of very impressive drill results by Northwest Copper at their Kwanika Project, all of the available ground to the east of the Kwanika Property was staked,” Pacific Empire Minerals CEO Brad Peters said in a statement.

“Fortunately, PEMC has a robust database of prospective target areas which allowed us to beat the staking rush and secure the ground we wanted,” Peters added.
Pacific Empire Minerals said with the mineral tenures acquisition the company’s land position in the area stands at more than 320 square kilometres (km).
Pacific Empire Minerals is currently developing its flagship Jean Marie project, a large copper property 50 km west of Centerra Gold's Mt. Milligan copper-gold mine in central British Columbia.
