Gold & silver

Viscount Mining reveals new rock chip samples of over 100 grams per ton silver from its Silver Cliff property in Colorado

Four samples assayed over 550 g/t silver, including 1,330 g/t and 737 g/t in the northern Kate area, and 692 g/t and 560 g/t in the south Passiflore area

Viscount Mining Corp (TSX-V:VML, OTCQB:VLMGF) released new sampling results from the third phase of a rock chip program at its Silver Cliff property in Colorado.

According to the Vancouver-based company, 28 samples assayed over 100 grams per ton (g/t) silver and 18 samples over 200 g/t silver.

Another four samples assayed over 550 g/t silver, including 1,330 g/t and 737 g/t in the northern Kate area, and 692 g/t and 560 g/t in the south Passiflora area.

Viscount told investors that phase 3 of its drill program at Silver Cliff recently concluded, with all of the core samples currently being assayed. The program consisted of 13 holes over 881 meters (m).

As a complement to the drilling campaign, Viscount also collected 50 rock chip samples around the Kate deposit, Passiflora and nearby areas.

The results support a possible expansion of the ore body, near the surface, both to the west and northeast, the company said in a statement.

Viscount told investors that the collection of surface rock chip results “gives us some insight into the silver resource expansion as defined by Dr. Gilles Arseneau in 2018 and for the phase 4 drill program preparation”.

Jacob Hooker, exploration manager at Viscount, told shareholders that the completion of phase 3 drilling was designed to test outside the boundaries of the Kate Deposit.

“Upon receipt of the drill results in correlation with the soil samples, the final phase 4 of drilling will be designed to further the understanding of the Kate deposit,” Hooker added. “The goal of expanding our NI 43-101 resource is meeting and surpassing company expectations."

Viscount Mining is a project generator and an exploration company with a portfolio of silver and gold properties in the Western United States, including Silver Cliff in Colorado and Cherry Creek in Nevada.
