Altus Strategies makes 'outstanding start' to Diba exploration

"A near-surface intersection of 21.9 g/t over 10.2m represents an outstanding start"

Altus Strategies PLC (AIM:ALS, TSX-V:ALTS, OTCQX:ALTUF) reported high-grade shallow intercepts from the start of its exploration programme at its Diba prospect in Western Mali.

Best of the grades were what Altus described as an outstanding 21.9 grams per tonne over 10.2m from a depth of 28m, which included a bumper intercept of 72.2 g/t.

Other notable intersections from the seven-hole programme were 2.0 g/t over 25.4m and 1.4 g/t from 17mln, which included a 4.1 g/t section over three metres.

Steven Poulton, chief executive, said: "A near-surface intersection of 21.9 g/t over 10.2m represents an outstanding start to the current drilling campaign.

“The drilling will comprise up to 10,100m of DD and RC and will be supplemented by up to 2,500m of AC drilling.

“These programmes are designed to test the potential down-dip and along-strike extensions of the Diba Deposit, as well as increase the resource confidence.

“At the Diba NW discovery, the drilling will test the strike extent and down-dip continuation of the mineralisation.”
