District Metals Corp has welcomed the latest drill results from its flagship polymetallic Tomtebo project in Sweden, which, it said, showed the "strongest and widest interval of massive sulphide mineralization" at the property to date.
The hole in question hit 30.4 metre (m) of continuous intense sulphide mineralization, starting from a depth of 143.6m, which included an intercept of 13.55m of impregnation to semi-massive sulphides and an intersection of 16.85m of massive sulphides.
The hole was drilled 60m 'up-plunge' from another previously reported hole, which had returned 11m of continuous massive sulphide mineralization starting from a depth of 211.4m, which appears to show a continuity of mineralization, noted the company.

Another hole, also reported today, was drilled around 80m down plunge of the 11m massive sulphide intercept above and is interpreted to have clipped the northwest outside edge of the massive sulphide lens.
District Metals started the 5,000m Phase II program with two drill rigs at the Tomtebo Property on October 7 this year and, so far, 2,021m have been sunk in six holes.
The Tomtebo project sits in the Bergslagen mining district of south-central Sweden and comprises 5,144 hectares (Ha) and sits between the historic Falun Mine and Boliden's Garpenberg mine that are located 25 kilometres to the northwest and southeast, respectively.
