Craig Brown, long-standing ECR boss and old mining stager, has passed away
Brown joined ECR when it was still in hot water with investors, following a turbulent period operating in Meekatharra under its old name of Mercator Gold.
He was able to help complete ECR’s emergence from those complex and troubled times and return it to a more conventional path of straightforward exploration for gold on its large portfolio of licences.
Brown was a soft-spoken, effective player in the capital markets, steering ECR through numerous fundraisings and doggedly driving the company forward.
ECR’s chairman David Tang commented: "Craig was a good CEO and a great friend and his loss will be felt by many. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time."
