Redx Pharma PLC has announced the appointment of Dr Jane Griffiths as non-executive chair, effective from 1 December 2021.
The company, which focuses on oncology and fibrosis, said Griffiths will bring significant experience and understanding of managing global strategy across the pharmaceutical sector, together with a strong interest in sustainability and diversity.
Griffiths has previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry with the company highlighting a long and successful career at Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ); her latest role in 2019 saw her lead the integration of Actelion business following its acquisition by J&J. She held executive roles in various departments in the American pharma including clinical research, international and strategic marketing and product management.
"We are pleased to welcome Jane as chair of the Redx board to lead the next stage of the company growth," said interim chair Peter Presland.
Griffiths, meanwhile, added: "I look forward to working closely with the board and the management team during this next stage of growth."
Following the appointment, the board will be comprised of seven directors.
