archTIS Ltd has entered a contract with an Australian National Intelligence and Law Enforcement agency worth A$449,579, with annual recurring licensing to bring in a further A$241,500 per year.
The contract will see AR9 deploy Okera’s Dynamic Access Platform for structured data security.
AR9 partnered with Okera to bolster its protection toolset over structured and unstructured data.
archTIS managing director Daniel Lai told Proactive that the Okera relationship was highly strategic.
“It is a very strategic partnership,” Lai said. “We are both in the game of Data-centric security, which is the fastest growing area in security today.”
According to Markets and Markets, the global Data-centric Security market size is expected to grow from US$3.5 billion in 2020 to US$9.8 billion by 2026, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 23.1% during the forecast period.
First win of many
This is not only the first win for the partnership, but also marks Okera’s first government contract won through AR9, with Lai believing it will open further government doors for the partnership as more government departments see these solutions in action.
"What we do is secure content and collaboration and what they do is big data," he said.
Lai is hoping the contract not only opens more government doors, but also enables the companies to cross-sell a range of products.
“This win marks the first for our partnership with Okera,” Lai said.
“It is rare to find a partner that you align with so strongly from a business perspective and can work with seamlessly, Okera is one of those partners.
“Their complementary platform offers the same policy-based ABAC (attribute-based access and control) control over structured data that our products deliver for unstructured data.
"Combined, we can provide an end-to-end solution for granular, zero-trust data access control to ensure all of our joint customers data – from structured to unstructured – is protected.”
Contract highlights combined capabilities
AR9’s contract with the Australian National Intelligence and Law Enforcement agency will highlight just how complementary its products are with Okera’s.
The initial contract is for one year, ending on October 28, 2022, with a five-year option following that.

Second win of the week
While the contract win with the Australian National Intelligence and Law Enforcement agency highlights the potential of its partnership with Okera, AR9 announced another major win this week when the US National Institute of Health (NIH), Center for Scientific Review (CSR) upgraded their deployment of AR9’s NC Protect.
The CSR is the portal for NIH grant applications and their review for scientific merit.

“The Biden Administration recently issued an Executive Order on 'Improving the Nation's Cybersecurity' which requires federal agencies to develop a plan to implement a zero-trust security architecture.
“NC Protect helps address the requirement by extending the zero-trust methodology to data access and sharing using attribute-based access controls (ABAC) to more effectively secure sensitive information in Microsoft applications."
