Alto Metals Ltd (ASX:AME) continues to see high-grade gold drill results from the Lords Corridor with drilling extending the high-grade zone below Lord Nelson and confirming the continuity of mineralisation which remains open.
The latest results provide further indications that the company is potentially onto a large gold system.
These final one-metre assays from the Lords Corridor will be incorporated into the ongoing work on the updated mineral resource, anticipated to be completed by the end of this quarter or early next, subject to assays.
Assays are still pending for eight diamond holes from Vanguard and Indomitable and more than 100 reverse circulation (RC) holes from Lord Henry, Vanguard and Indomitable.

“We are looking forward to the next phase of drilling to test extensions of mineralisation at depth and repeat lodes along the +3 kilometre corridor.
“The final one-metre assays for the Lords shall be incorporated into the ongoing resource work, as we continue to progress towards an updated mineral resource for the Sandstone Gold Project.
“We are also looking forward to receiving all the outstanding assays for the eight diamond holes and more than 100 RC holes from some [of] our priority regional targets, which we anticipate to receive over the coming weeks.”
New Lord Nelson and Lord Henry results
The latest results are from RC drilling south of Lord Nelson, testing the continuity of high-grade gold mineralisation below the pit, and also from Lord Henry testing strike extensions of mineralisation within the corridor to the north.
Strong results include:
- 15 metres at 3.1 g/t gold from 198 metres, including 6 metres at 5.3 g/t from 205 metres – Lord Nelson;
- 10 metres at 2.1 g/t from 13 metres, including 1-metre at 14.8 g/t from 18 metres – Lord Henry;
- 21 metres at 1.4 g/t from 100 metres, including 0.5 metres at 27.4 g/t from 102 metres – Lord Henry;
- 6 metres at 2.2 g/t from 12 metres, including 1-metre at 8.1 g/t from 16 metres – Lord Henry; and
- 3 metres at 3.9 g/t from 67 metres, including 0.5 metres at 15.1 g/t from 69 metres – Lord Henry.
Latest one-metre re-splits
The latest one-metre re-splits of previously reported four-metre composites from RC drilling at Lord Nelson, Orion and Lord Henry targets within the Lords Corridor have confirmed the continuity high-grade of gold mineralisation.
Gold assays from one-metre re-splits include:
- 91 metres at 2.8 g/t from 56 metres, including 27 metres at 5.1 g/t from 72 metres – Orion;
- 64 metres at 1.7 g/t from 42 metres including 15 metres at 5.1 g/t from 90 metres – Orion;
- 10 metres at 2.1 g/t from 140 metres including 3 metres at 6.3 g/t from 147 metres – Juno South;
- 20 metres at 1.2 g/t from 116 metres including 3 metres at 6.0 g/t from 125 metres – Juno South;
- 13 metres at 3.1 g/t from 41 metres including 2 metres at 15.5 g/t from 41 metres – Lord Henry; and
- 25 metres at 2.2 g/t from 104 metres including 3 metres at 12.1 g/t from 114 metres – Lord Henry.
The nature and style of mineralisation that is observed at the Lords granodiorite, with gold mineralisation within the granodiorite ‘damage zone’ and high-grade gold along the margin of the ultramafic footwall, is considered to be very similar to that of the Tarmoola granodiorite at Red 5’s King of the Hills.
Assays pending
Assays remain pending for eight diamond holes from Vanguard and Indomitable and more than 100 RC holes from Lord Henry, Vanguard and Indomitable.
RC drilling has been temporarily paused to allow for the receipt and assessment of the significant number of assays still pending, prior to re-commencing drilling.
