PlantX Life Inc said it will hold the official grand opening of its first US brick-and-mortar XMarket store, located in the Hillcrest neighbourhood of San Diego, California, on October 30, 2021, from 10.00am to 4.00pm local time.
The company noted the free event will feature storewide sales, promotional offers and various educational experiences.
“The grand opening event celebrating our XMarket store in Hillcrest is yet another opportunity to increase our company's profile,” PlantX Life founder Sean Dollinger said in a statement.

“We are proud of our presence in Hillcrest, and we are eager to serve the local community and enjoy the opening festivities with them,” Dollinger added.
As well, popular plant-based meat innovator Beyond Meat will offer free samples of its sustainable plant-based Beyond Burger. Other brands that will be featured include Kula Ice Cream, Tracy's Real Foods, and Maya's Cookies.
PlantX noted that the XMarket location in San Diego features over 4,500 square feet of retail space and includes a plant-based retail store, a state-of-the-art café and sandwich shop and an education centre.
The company said XMarket customers will be able to access high-quality grocery items, cosmetics, wellness products and indoor plants.
Vancouver-based PlantX Life styles itself as the digital face of the plant-based community with a one-stop destination for all things plant-based, like an online shop and meal delivery services.
The online shop houses over 5,000 vegan products, and its recently added meal service delivers chef-created dishes straight to the doors of Western Canada. All in all, the company offers more than 10,000 plant-based products.
