Franchise Brands PLC (AIM:FRAN) said its performance was strong in its latest three months, driven by its commercial drainage business Metro Rod where sales jumped 32%.
The B2C division continues to perform well, it added, with 52 new recruits year-to-date, which is ahead of 2020 and in line with 2019.
As a result, underlying profits [adjusted EBITDA] for the quarter and year to date are at record levels, said the franchise specialist, with the business on track to meet market consensus year-end forecasts for revenue of £58.2mln and underlying profits of £8.4mln.
Stephen Hemsley, executive chairman, added the group was also making good progress with its digital platform, which had started to boost the existing franchise groups as well as being a scaleable platform for any new additions.
"We continue to review a number of acquisition opportunities but remain patient and will only move forward where we are confident that an opportunity will provide a good return.”
