Proactive Group Holdings announced it has entered a strategic alliance with investment bank Canaccord Genuity (TSX:CF, LSE:CF) (TSX:CF, LSE:CF) Group Inc to become the preferred provider of digital investor relations services to small and mid-sized growth companies. Proactive, which has developed a unique tech-enabled platform, will work with Canaccord’s corporate finance clients to provide a comprehensive range of investor engagement solutions. Under the agreement, Proactive will receive introductions to Canaccord’s corporate finance clients. As part of the tie-up, Canaccord will make a direct investment in Proactive, which the company said it plans to use to finance further acquisitions. No financial details were given.

Logiq Inc has lauded its Logiq Consumer Marketplace (LCM) business, which it says helps a variety of firms win new customers. Logiq has been using its advanced scoring technology as a consumer acquisition company for years and LCM is one of the US' leading providers of prospects for life, auto, home, and Medicare insurance. "We offer major brands, agencies and traffic partners a deep understanding of the type of customer they are looking to identify and win and why it works," noted LCM President Haig Newton in a statement. "This allows us to effectively craft a custom consumer experience that produces highly targeted results. We can scale this solution across any market that uses the web for finding new customers."

Vicinity Motor Corp announced that it has closed its previously announced underwritten public offering of US$17 million. Under the offering, the company sold 3,990,610 units at a price of US$4.26 per Unit for gross proceeds of approximately US$17 million. Vicinity Motor said it plans to use the net proceeds for the US$12 million portion of the license fee payable to Optimal-EV, with the remaining net proceeds to be used for general corporate purposes, including new product development and certifications, new product demonstration models, expansion of production capacity and general working capital.

Pathfinder Ventures (TSX-V:RV) Inc said it has reached 100% occupancy at its winterized sites in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley. Occupants at the Fort Camping RV park and campground in Fort Langley stay for six months from mid-October until mid-April, according to a statement from the Vancouver-based company. A small percentage of campsites also remain available for short-term campers

Sonoro Gold Corp (TSX-V:SGO, OTCQB:SMOFF) told investors it plans to resume drilling at its Cerro Caliche gold project in Mexico’s Sonora State as it expands the project's mineralized zones and targets potentially higher-grade near-surface mineralization. The 10,000-metre (m) reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign will proceed alongside the proposed development of a heap leach mining operation (HLMO) with a projected capacity of up to 15,000 tons per day, the company said. “This program has been under development since we paused drilling in May 2021,” the company’s president and CEO, Kenneth MacLeod said in a statement. “We maintain our strategy to expedite the commencement of operations to generate cash flow that will contribute to further drilling to increase the project’s potential.”

Ayurcann Holdings Corp said it has entered into a patient-referral agreement with The Herb Clinic, providing Canadians guidance and access to managing discomfort with medicinal cannabis. The Herb Clinic has over 4,000 patients registered and is comprised of compassionate and knowledgeable service providers who are defined by their ability to provide exceptional patient care. Empower Clinics Inc. (CSE:CBDT, OTCQB:EPWCF) announced that it's Kai Medical Laboratory has received approval to be a coronavirus Pandemic Provider with the ability to administer coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations in the US. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have successfully received and approved Kai Lab's application as of mid-October. The company said Dallas-based Kai Lab can immediately begin placing orders for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) COVID-19 vaccines.

Gevo Inc (NASDAQ:GEVO) said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ADM to support the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other low carbon-footprint hydrocarbon fuels. The Englewood, Colorado-based company shared that the MoU suggests the production of both ethanol and isobutanol, which would be transformed into renewable low carbon-footprint hydrocarbons, including SAF, using the company's processing technology. At least 900 million gallons of ethanol produced at ADM’s dry mills in Columbus, Nebraska, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as well as its Decatur, Illinois complex, is expected to be processed with Gevo’s technology, resulting in approximately 500 million gallons of SAF and other renewable hydrocarbons. “The potential conversion of 900 million gallons of ethanol – more than half of our production capacity – to serve the growing demand for sustainable aviation fuel would represent a major step in the continued evolution of our carbohydrate solutions business to focus increasingly on new, high-growth opportunities,” said ADM CEO Juan Luciano. He added: “Equally important, we’re continuing to live our purpose, with our entry into SAF representing another step in our strategic efforts to advance decarbonization and use our integrated value chain to deliver more sustainable, environmentally friendly products and services.”

Todos Medical, Ltd. has announced the publication of an article in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Nature Neuroscience by researchers at the University of Lübeck in Germany which has positive implications for its Tollovir drug, a Mpro (3CL protease) inhibitor. The article, entitled 'The SARS-CoV-2 main protease Mpro causes microvascular brain pathology by cleaving NEMO in brain endothelial cells' - which can be accessed via the following link https://www.nature.com/articles/s41593-021-00926-1 - describes the mechanisms through which the main protease (Mpro, Nsp5, 3CL protease, 3CLpro or 3CLpro) cleaves the nuclear factor (NF)-κB essential modulator (NEMO) which is involved in signaling cascades that regulate the transcription of numerous genes, including the antiviral type I interferons and other immune genes. The publication concludes that: “Mpro-mediated damage of the brain endothelial cells suggests that inhibitors of Mpro may prevent neurological complications of the SARS-CoV-2 infection.”

Idaho Champion (CSE:ITKO, OTCQB:GLDRF) Gold Mines Canada Inc told investors that it has completed its 2021 exploration program at the Champagne gold project in Idaho, which has underlined the potential to grow the asset. The company said it sunk ten diamond drill holes, for 3,432 metres (m) on induced polarization (IP) lines -3, -4 and -6 and expanded its IP coverage by a further 7,800 line metres in two lines over the northern extent of the so-called St. Louis- Reliance Corridor. "The large scale of the IP anomaly discovered in 2020 warranted a rigorous drilling test, so we completed several drill fences across the shallower targets reported earlier this year," explained Jonathan Buick, Idaho Champion (CSE:ITKO, OTCQB:GLDRF)'s CEO in a statement. "As we recently announced, the extent of alteration, sulfide mineralization, and veining is encouraging.”

Boosh Plant-Based Brands Inc (CSE:VEGI, OTC:VGGIF) has said it will launch its plant-based macaroni and cheese products at the Planted Expo in Vancouver in November. The new mac & cheese line is made using Boosh’s proprietary vegan cheese powder and organic rice penne noodles, making the product shelf-stable. Vancouver-based Boosh will introduce the ‘Better Cheddar’ and ‘Nacho Cheese’ flavours at the expo, which runs from November 21 to 22.

Globex Mining Enterprises Inc said it has acquired a 2% royalty equivalent to a Gross Metal Royalty (GMR), which the company is calling the RN Mining Camp Royalty, covering a “significant“ length of the Cadillac Break east of Rouyn-Noranda as well as an additional large block of claims northwest of Rouyn-Noranda in Quebec. The company noted that the royalty was paid for by the issuance of 150,000 Globex shares. Globex said it initially entered into discussions with the estates of two well-known and respected prospector/entrepreneurs following the purchase by Globex of the Rouyn Merger Gold Property announced on August 5, 2021, on which a 2% royalty was held by the estates. The company said it was successful in acquiring the royalty and thus eliminating it on the 6.5 kilometers of the Cadillac Break, numerous gold occurrences and zones and surrounding rocks which are within the Rouyn Merger property boundary. In the same purchase, Globex acquired royalty interests which extends both east and northwest of the Rouyn Merger property including on the Heva-Hosco Gold Property owned by Hecla Quebec Inc.

Q BioMed Inc announced that the company closed an additional $2 million funding on October 5 this year, which will be used to support its planned uplisting to Nasdaq and operations for the next 12 months. The uplisting on a senior exchange will coincide with its proposed capital raise, satisfying the capital needs for the following year. The company said that its priority is to continue to support and expand a contract sales force for Strontium-89 in commercial and federal settings. The New York-based company is currently focused on the approved radiopharmaceutical product and is assessing additional assets to grow future revenue opportunities. Together with Mannin Research, Q BioMed has de-risked the Mannin platform with proof of concept data and fully funded clinical trials expected to start in early 2022.

Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc announced it has completed a fully-subscribed marketed public offering by raising total proceeds of approximately $7.5 million, including approximately $975,000 following the exercise in full of an over-allotment option by Research Capital Corporation and Canaccord Genuity (TSX:CF, LSE:CF) Corp, the co-lead agents for the offering. At closing, Canada Silver Cobalt issued 20,884,109 units at a price of $0.21per unit for proceeds of $4,385,663 and 13,431,900 flow-through units at a price of $0.23 per flow-through units for proceeds of $3,089,337. Irwin Naturals Inc. (CSE:IWIN) said it has formed a wholly-owned unit, Irwin Naturals Cannabis, in order to enter into the United States and Canadian recreational cannabis markets for adult use. The firm intends to enter the North American cannabis industry by licensing its household brand name to licensed third parties that manufacture products containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Details of the Irwin Naturals Cannabis product lineup and the timing of the launch will be released in due course. However, the company is planning the overall launch of Irwin Naturals Cannabis to the continental cannabis market in late 2021 or early 2022. In a separate statement, Irwin Naturals also said it has created another wholly-owned unit, Irwin Naturals Emergence, in preparation for its entry into the psychedelic mental health industry. The firm plans to offer ketamine-assisted psychedelic treatments to patients suffering from mental health issues and other ailments in Irwin Naturals Emergence clinics across the US, until the more widespread legality of psilocybin and other psychedelic drugs occurs. Aurion Resources (TSX-V:AU) Ltd reported that its joint venture (JV) partner and mining major B2Gold Corp has drilled a new discovery, which sits just 1.3 kilometre (km) west of Rupert Resources' 4 million ounce Ikkari discovery along the Kutuvuoma-Ikkari corridor in northern Finland. The results come from the first three holes of the ongoing 5,000 metre (m) drilling campaign. One hole showed 1.84 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 52.4 m from 85.3m depth, which included 2.61 g/t of the yellow metal over 21.2m from a depth of 95.2m. Another hole hit 1.42 g/t gold (Au) over 30.6m from 34.2m depth. "We are very excited by the discovery of broad zones of consistent gold mineralization in the first holes drilled into a new target area within the Kutuvuoma-Ikkari corridor," said Aurion CEO Matti Talikka in a statement.

Zoglo’s Incredible Food Corp has said it is listing its products with Foodland supermarkets, further strengthening its presence throughout Ontario. The company noted that Foodland's 136 Ontario stores will carry six Zoglo's products from its Incredible product line. “We are eager to begin our partnership with Foodland in their Ontario stores, with the potential of expanding into their stores across Atlantic Canada,” Zoglo’s Incredible Food CEO Anthony Morello said in a statement.

(TSX-V:ESE) said it has entered into a binding share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Frenzy sp. z.o.o., a European esports media and technology company, for cash and shares. Frenzy is a media and production infrastructure company focused on the video game industry which creates and executes esports and gaming events, broadcasts, and media content. It also operates professional mobile, automated TV equipment, allowing it to produce reality shows from every part of the globe. Its main revenue streams include TV production, events and league organizations, and advertising campaigns. “We are excited to sign this agreement with Frenzy, a leading production and technology company for the esports industry. Frenzy has contracts with some of the world’s largest gaming publishers and delivers a suite of products and services that complement ESE perfectly. By completing the anticipated transaction, ESE will strengthen its position and deliver a fully supported 360 solution for the esports and gaming industry. Cardiol Therapeutics (TSX:CRDL, NASDAQ:CRDL) Inc announced it has received Health Canada approval to proceed with its Phase II trial of lead drug CardiolRx for acute myocarditis. The multi-center, double-blind, randomized, and placebo-controlled trial will look at the safety and tolerability of CardiolRx as well as its impact on myocardial recovery in patients with the debilitating condition. Phase II involves 100 patients at clinical centers in the US, Canada, and Europe.

District Metals Corp has announced an update on its phase II drill program at its Tomtebo property in the Bergslagen mining district situated in south-central Sweden. The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company shared that a total of 1,030 meters (m) has been drilled in three holes — TOM21-023A/B, -024, -025 — since October 7, 2021. Hole TOM21-025 intersected 11.0m of massive sulphide mineralization from 211.4 to 222.4m at the Steffenburgs zone. Hole TOM21-025 was drilled 118m down plunge from TOM21-001, which returned 8.2m at 20.94% ZnEq from 65.3m to 73.5m. The third hole, TOM21-027, is currently being drilled 80m down plunge of the 11m massive sulphide intercept from TOM21-025.

Amarillo Gold Corp. told investors that it can begin construction of a power line that will deliver electricity to its Posse Gold Mine after it received the necessary license from the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (SEMAD) of Brazil’s Goiás State. The Canadian junior resource company said the license was the final regulatory approval needed for the 67-kilometre (km) 138-kilovolt power line that will cross three municipalities and connect its flagship Posse mine to a substation in Porangatu. Construction on the line is expected to start later this year and take about 14 months. Work on the expansion of its substation is now in its final phase.

LexaGene Holdings Inc. (TSX-V:LXG, OTCQB:LXXGF) has completed its analytical studies required by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) application for coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnostics. The company said it is in the process of completing the necessary work to have the FDA rule on authorizing the MiQLab for COVID-19 testing. LexaGene noted that FDA is expected to classify the MiQLab as a class II medical device. As such, the process of preparing its point-of-care (POC) fully-automated PCR system, which comprises hardware, firmware, software, and chemistry for FDA evaluation, is considerably more complex than if it were simply submitting only a COVID-19 PCR test chemistry for authorization.

Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR, OTCQB:RFHRF) told investors it had now exposed 180 meters (m) of continuously visible mineralization containing copper, nickel and zinc on surface at its Surimeau District battery metals project in Quebec. The company updated on its now resumed stripping program at the 5km long Victoria West target at its wholly-owned 260 square kilometre (sq km) Surimeau property. "Almost all the newly exposed bedrock over -180m strike in the stripped area is ultramafic, hosting low-grade nickel and zinc mineralization along the entire strike, with the width of the stripped area averaging 35m in width but reaching up to a maximum of 42m, without exposing the contact of the ultramafic and the sedimentary Pontiac unit," Renforth said in a statement.

Versus Systems Inc announced that it carried out thirty-three activations of fan engagement products during the week of October 18, 2021 — the highest number to date in the company’s history. DRDGOLD Limited has told investors it expects to be in a position to pay an interim dividend after reporting higher sales on the back of an increase in first-quarter gold production. Quarter-on-quarter gold production increased by 7% to 1,449 kilograms (kg), the South Africa-focused mine tailings specialist said in an operational update for the three months ended September 30, 2021. Gold sales rose by 5% to 1,428 kg. The company said higher electricity and labour costs that took effect in July 2021 resulted in a 5% increase in cash operating costs to 566 317 rand per kg. Cash operating costs per ton of material processed increased by 6% to 114 rand per ton.

CytoDyn Inc has announced treatment of the first patient in its pivotal Phase 3 trial CD16 in Brazil for critically ill Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, which it is conducting with Brazil’s BIOMM and academic research organisation (ARO). The Vancouver, Washington-based late-stage biotechnology company said an interim analysis will be conducted 28 days following the enrollment of 127 patients. CytoDyn said the new pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial will focus on hospitalized critically ill COVID-19 patients who require mechanical and invasive ventilation or Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Its flagship Leronlimab drug will be administered via intravenous therapy (IV) in four doses or 700 milligrams (mg) per week. The trial is being conducted across 29 research centers with 316 patients. “The CytoDyn team, along with BIOMM and ARO, have worked diligently to initiate two pivotal Phase 3 trials in Brazil, and we are excited about the trials’ potential results,” CytoDyn president and CEO Dr Nader Pourhassan said in a statement.

Lucky Minerals (TSX-V:LKY, OTC:LKMNF) Inc has welcomed the latest exploration results from its Wayka epithermal gold discovery at the flagship Fortuna project in Ecuador, which has expanded the mineralized footprint. The gold explorer has posted sample assays from ongoing trenching work at Wayka and results were reported for three trenches - T-10, T-11 and T-12. Results at Trench T-10 averaged 2.81 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 2 metres (m), the firm said, noting that this trench sits around 80m from trench T-6, where previously reported results included 17 g/t gold over 3m. "The results from Wayka are expanding the footprint of the mineralized intervals. We are finding multiple areas of alteration with mineralization and their related feeders," said Lucky CEO François Perron in a statement.

Great Bear Resources (TSX-V:GBR) Ltd has reported gold recovery test results from its 100% owned flagship Dixie Project, in the Red Lake district of Ontario that show “very high gold recoveries at all grades". The Vancouver-based precious metals miner said it selected what were anticipated to be the "most difficult" mineralized domains to extract gold from at the LP Fault. “This has strong positive implications for the future development potential of the Dixie project,” president and CEO Chris Taylor said in a statement. “Similar very high gold recoveries from the Dixie Limb and Hinge zones using comparable grinding and cyanidation protocols indicates mineralized material from all gold zones is likely amenable to processing through the same extraction circuits.”
