Ascendant Resources Inc has announced the appointment of Clinton Swemmer as the company’s new vice president of technical services.
Swemmer, a project delivery executive with experience completing technical studies for development-stage projects, is expected to help facilitate the development of Ascendant’s Lagoa Salgada volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project as it progresses into the feasibility stage.
“Clinton will be instrumental in the projects development as we look to embark on the Feasibility Study for the Lagoa Salgada VMS project,” Ascendant Resources executive chairman Mark Brennan said in a statement.

Swemmer previously held the position of vice president of project delivery for mining company Treasury Metals Inc (TSX:TML), where he managed the study and trade-offs to maximize net present value (NPV) and meet the technical requirements of the environmental and permit process.
