Blue Sky Uranium kicks off drilling at its Amarillo Grande project in Argentina

The company said the aim of this initial drill program is to further assess the potential of the Ivana North and Central target areas and to provide vectors to focus subsequent drill programs

Blue Sky Uranium Corp has announced that a 3,500 metre (m) reverse circulation (RC) drill program is now underway on the Ivana deposit at its wholly-owned Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project in Argentina, with 50 holes totaling 293m completed to date.

As well, the company said permits have been received to complete the initial drill program at the Ivana Central target, which is the second tranche of a separate exploration drill program at Amarillo Grande.

“We are pleased that this latest program has given us valuable information at Ivana North to help us target follow-up drilling in the area,” Blue Sky Uranium CEO Nikolaos Cacos said in a statement.

“The preliminary results from Ivana Central are also very encouraging, and we look forward to continuing the systematic exploration work which is progressing on a similar path to that which led to the discovery of the Ivana deposit ten kilometres to the south,” Cacos added.

Blue Sky Uranium noted the aim of this initial drill program is to further assess the potential of the Ivana North and Central target areas and to provide vectors to focus subsequent drill programs.

It added that a review of the analytical results to date indicate the presence of uranium, vanadium and pathfinder element anomalies consistent with sandstone type uranium deposits as seen at the Ivana deposit.

“These results re-affirm the potential of Amarillo Grande to become a multi-deposit uranium district,” Cacos said.

Blue Sky Uranium is on the verge of becoming a South American leader in uranium production. The energy metal discovery firm has exclusive rights to properties in two provinces in Argentina, and is a member of the Grosso Group, a resource management collective that has pioneered Argentinian exploration since 1993.
