Sipa Resources Ltd (ASX:SRI) continues to progress exploration programs across its portfolio of Western Australian precious and base metals projects.
The explorer has been largely focused on its 100%-owned Warralong Project, where it is targeting gold mineralisation associated with intrusive rocks and structures that have yet to be drilled.
The company has also reported on progress at its Murchison and Wolfe Basin projects.
Warralong going strong
Sipa has just completed its second aircore program at Warralong, where it drilled a total of 173 holes for 2,095 metres.
Samples are currently heading to the laboratory.
Warralong covers 50 kilometres of the Lalla Rookh Shear Zone and other structures, in an analogous setting to discoveries along the Tabba Tabba Shear Zone 50 kilometres to the west.
Sipa tested targets and basement rocks on tenement E45/5740.
Similarly to previous drilling at E45/5687, Sipa encountered a range of intrusive rock types and minor pyrite.
The company is now expecting assays from both Warralong drill programs.
A soil sampling program across broader areas of the tenement package is expected to begin this month and once completed and all assays returned, Sipa will start a comprehensive basement interpretation across the Warralong project area.
Murchison – a work in progress
Sipa has turned its attention to additional targets in other parts of the Murchison project area, after its July aircore program returned no significant assay results.
The company conducted a 3,407-metre aircore program, before closing out the potential along the eastern mineralised trend identified in historic work.

Wolfe Basin – a project on track
The first drill program at Wolfe Basin intersected base metals up to 2.9% lead and 0.5% copper, with extensive areas remaining to be tested along a >40-kilometre-long prospective horizon.
Sipa is now on track to begin a diamond drill program testing a dipole-dipole IP anomaly adjacent to the Romulus gossan. Personnel, contractors and equipment have all been secured, with the program to start this quarter.
