Anteris Technologies accepted into innovation session at prestigious Interventional cardiology meeting

Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR, OTC:AMEUF)’s submission at this year’s Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) conference in the US has been accepted into the innovation session, further validating the clinical relevance of the company’s technology.

Anteris is a structural heart company developing next generation technologies, including the Anteris DurAVR™ aortic replacement valve.

Inclusion into the innovation session comes just days after Anteris partnered with IQVIA Inc and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) to help it conduct an FDA early feasibility study (EFS).

Acceptance is high praise

The TCT conference will run from November 4 to 6 in Orlando Florida and is the largest and most prestigious Interventional cardiology meeting held each year.

Only emerging technologies that are novel, clinically relevant/important and are judged relative to other technologies within the same class, either in the market or in development are accepted into the innovation component of TCT.

It is therefore high praise for the Australian medtech company to be involved in the conference.

“Being recognised by the selection committee in this highly competitive component of TCT is further validation of how clinically relevant DurAVR™ is for the treatment of younger patients with aortic stenosis,” Anteris CEO Wayne Paterson said.

“The unique hemodynamic profile, ADAPT® premium and proven superior anti-calcification treatment, and novel 3D unibody design, giving greater structural integrity, offers a solution for younger patients with aortic stenosis.

“The innovation sessions are keenly observed by physicians, analysts and senior industry executives. The potential of this product to fill the treatment gap for younger patients needing longer lasting and better working valves is being recognised within the medical community.”

Making the feat more impressive for Anteris is that of approximately 100 submissions for the technology session, only 25 across all areas are selected for presentation as innovative and include mitral, TAVR, LAAO and many others.

The selection committee is made up of physicians regarded as being leading experts in the field of interventional cardiology globally.
