Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE-A:GORO, ETR:GIH) (NYSE-A:GORO, ETR:GIH) revealed its preliminary 3Q production figures that showed the miner sold 9,170 gold equivalent ounces from its Mexican operations. The strong numbers came despite a self-imposed temporary shutdown at the operations due to coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols. The 9,170 figure was comprised of 5,809 gold ounces and 255,394 silver ounces, and was a 16.1% increase from the same quarter a year ago.
Adastra Holdings (CSE:XTRX) Ltd. said it generated record shipments in September. In a statement, the Canadian cannabis company said it shipped 68,272 consumer-packaged units and 20,000 grams of bulk extract in September, compared to 41,571 units in September 2020. That’s a 64% year-over-year increase. For the period ended September 30, 2021, the Montreal, Canada-based gold and silver royalty company realized preliminary revenues from its precious metal interests of $5.1 million, resulting in preliminary precious metals cash operating margin of $4.4 million. The cash operating margin is calculated by subtracting the cash costs of gold and silver sold from revenues and evaluates Nomad’s ability to generate strong cash flow.
PharmaDrug Inc has welcomed interim pre-clinical results for its cepharanthine drug, which have validated its ambition to carry out Food and Drug Administration (FDA) investigational new drug (IND)-enabling animal studies for treating esophageal cancer in the fourth quarter this year. Those studies will examine the efficacy of cepharanthine on its own and when it is combined with standard-of care (SoC) chemotherapy to support Phase 1 and 2 human clinical trials. In a statement, the pharma group said it had previously identified a shortlist of 23 cancers that were "highly responsive" to cepharanthine-2HCl and it was recently provided results for 17 of the 23 cells lines being evaluated by an independent contract research organization (CRO).
Silvercorp Metals Inc (TSX:SVM, AMEX:SVM) has told investors it is on track to meet its production guidance for the full fiscal year to end-March 2022 as the company unveiled solid second-quarter output numbers. The China-focused metals miner said it was on pace to generate between 6.3 and 6.6 million ounces of silver, 65.7 to 68.9 million pounds of lead, and 26.9 to 28.5 million pounds of zinc for fiscal 2022. The group's flagship project is the Ying project (also known as the SGX project), which comprises six separate mines in Henan Province in central China, which feed two mills. In its second quarter to September 30, 2021, Silvercorp said production came in at 1.7 million ounces of silver, 800 ounces of gold, 17.6 million pounds of lead, and 7.5 million pounds of zinc.
American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC) said it has engaged a contract mining company to operate its Carnegie 2 mine in Kentucky. Its Carnegie 2 mine is the second of a series of metallurgical carbon mines located in Pike County, accessing high-quality carbon from the Alma seam specific -- an essential ingredient to the production of new steel. The company's Carnegie 2 mine accesses the same boundary of premium High Vol A/B carbon as its Carnegie 1 mine. The Carnegie 2 mine will utilize one continuous miner under a single-section mining plan. American Resources expects production at Carnegie 2 to begin before the end of the fourth quarter of 2021. Once fully ramped, the production rate is expected to be approximately 8,000 to 12,000 clean tons per month to enhance and compliment the production of the Carnegie 1 mine.
i-80 Gold Corp, together with its wholly-owned Goldcorp Dee LLC and Au-Reka Gold LLC subsidiaries, said it has completed its acquisitions of the Lone Tree and Buffalo Mountain gold deposits in Nevada, plus certain processing infrastructure, from Nevada Gold Mines LLC. Nevada Gold Mines will receive up to US$50 million based on production from the Lone Tree property, as well as Goldcorp Dee's 40% ownership in the South Arturo property and assignment of Au-Reka's option to acquire the adjacent Rodeo Creek exploration property.
