Power Metal shares results from Garfield Property satellite imagery analysis

The study identified two strong anomalies, prospective for copper mineralisation

Power Metal Resources PLC (AIM:POW) has shared results from recently completed satellite imagery analysis over the Garfield Property in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt in Nevada, US.

The study was carried out by global image processing expert Dr Neil Pendock from South Africa’s Dirt Exploration and examined Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER).

It identified two strong anomalies, prospective for copper mineralisation, as evidenced by detailed mathematical analysis of spectral end members that correlate with known copper mineralisation in the area.

The new anomalies are located over 1km and 1.5km away from the main Garfield showings, which the miner said expands the potential copper mineralisation footprint significantly.

Additional claims have now been staked to cover the identified anomalies, increasing the claims held at the property from three to eleven claims.

The AIM-listed group’s technical team is reviewing other strong anomalies near the newly expanded property which were identified by the satellite imagery analysis.
