Technology Metals strengthens board with appointment of mining industry veteran as non-executive director

Jacqueline Murray’s vast experience in the mining industry includes roles in business analysis as well as geotechnical engineering.

Technology Metals Australia Ltd (ASX:TMT) has enhanced the skillset of its board with the appointment of mining industry veteran Jacqueline Murray to the position of non-executive director.

Jacqueline Murray is a partner at Resource Capital Fund (RCF), a new cornerstone investor in TMT, and has worked within the mining industry for more than 20 years.

Notable positions

Murray joined RCF in 2012 after working in business analysis and improvement roles with BHP Billiton.

Prior to this she worked in various geotechnical engineering roles in underground and open pit operations within BHP Billiton and WMC Resources.

Education

Murray holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Geological Engineering from RMIT University.

She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Alliance Mining Commodities and Khoemacau Copper Mining.

Jacqueline Murray, having been appointed by the other directors on October 13, 2021 in accordance with the constitution, will seek election from shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting.

Technology Metals has attracted a new cornerstone investor in Resource Capital Fund VII LP, a fund managed by RCF Management LLC, as part of a placement that will raise $20 million.

The company has executed a binding subscription agreement with RCF VII for an equity investment of $13.5 million at $0.357 per share and upon completion, RCF will hold an 18% stake.

Firm commitments from existing, institutional and new strategic investors have also been secured to raise an additional $6.5 million at $0.375 per share.

This placement and investment by RCF VII coincide with a strategic review to integrate the Yarrabubba deposit into the definitive feasibility study (DFS) for the high purity Gabanintha Vanadium Project (GVP).
