Man Group (LSE:EMG), the hedge fund manager, reported a strong inflow of new money in its latest quarter, especially for its alternative asset focused products.
Funds under management were US$139.5bn at 30 September 2021 (30 June 2021: $135.3bn) after net inflows of US$5.3bn and a performance gain of US$0.4bn, offset by adverse currency movements.
Luke Ellis, chief executive, said $139.5 billion was a new peak for funds under management and driven by very strong net inflows and solid investment performance.
“Looking forward, we see positive momentum continuing into the fourth quarter,” said Ellis.
