Seeing Machines inks framework deal with Shell for driver distraction and fatigue technology

The system will be installed on Shell vehicles where “fatigue and distracted driving are considered to be a safety risk", investors were told

Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF) said it has signed a framework agreement to supply its Guardian driver distraction and fatigue system to Shell.

The international oil giant has a huge fleet of vehicles covering 500mln kilometres a year. The technology will be installed where “fatigue and distracted driving are considered to be a safety risk”, Seeing Machines said.

Max Verberne, general manager of Aftermarket at Seeing Machines, said: "We are delighted to be working with Shell, who are genuinely focused on safety, to deliver Guardian as they work towards improved protection of their employees and the communities through which they drive.

"Seeing Machines is leading the world in driver monitoring system solutions across Automotive, Fleet and Aviation transport sectors and being able to support such a prestigious customer in our Aftermarket business with this project is rewarding and exciting."
