Adastra Holdings (CSE:XTRX) Ltd said it has struck a new wholesale agreement with micro-cultivator Sitka Weed Works Inc that will see it package and sell Sitka’s craft cannabis directly to provinces. Sitka operates the largest micro park in Canada, with 51 micros that specialize in growing craft cannabis with high THC percentages. Under the agreement, Sitka will supply its cannabis to Adastra, which will package, excise and sell finished goods to provincial wholesalers. Adastra told investors that it expects to start shipments in the coming months.
Numinus Wellness Inc. (TSX-V:NUMI, OTC:LKYSF) has announced the expansion of its psychedelics research facility with an additional lab and application for federal licensing, as it continues to broaden its services to support industry research and production while adding new revenue streams. Numinus Bioscience, the company's research vertical and a provider of contract services, has submitted its application to Health Canada for its second Dealer's License, for an additional 7,500 square feet. The expanded lab -- housed in an existing Numinus-leased building adjacent to the current lab -- will double the size of Numinus' research footprint and is slated for completion in the summer of 2022.
Fobi AI (TSX-V:FOBI, OTCQB:FOBIF) Inc has announced a deal with S4S, Iceland’s largest shoe retailer, to digitize its traditional plastic gift cards and paper-based credit notes using its Passcreator Wallet pass. Under the national agreement, the cards and notes will now be managed and redeemed using Fobi’s technology. It expects to generate immediate revenue through the licensing of Wallet passes to S4S through local digital development and IT services firm Leikbreytir. S4S is Iceland’s largest non-grocery retail company with 14 stores and four online shops that carry brands such as Ecco, Sketchers and Nike Air. It also owns Ellingsen, Iceland’s most famous outdoor sports store.
Algernon Pharmaceuticals Inc said it had filed a pre-Investigational New Drug (IND) meeting request with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over its repurposed drug Ifenprodil for chronic cough, which could see a Phase 2 clinical trial start in the US as early as the second quarter of 2022. It comes after the pharma group recently announced positive trending data from its Phase 2 study of the drug on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic cough, which is currently taking place in Australia and New Zealand. "This submission to the U.S. FDA underscores our commitment to patients with refractory chronic cough," said Christopher J. Moreau, the CEO of Algernon, in a statement.
Great Panther Mining Limited has provided its production results for the third quarter of 2021, the gold and silver producer focused on Latin America owns three mines: Tucano in Brazil, and Topia and the Guanajuato Mine Complex (GMC) in Mexico. The precious metals miner reached a consolidated production of 22,444 gold equivalent ounces for the period. Included in that tally are 18,423 gold ounces and 280,245 silver ounces.
Else Nutrition Holdings Inc (OTCQX:BABYF, TSX-V:BABY), the plant-based baby, toddler and children nutrition company, announced that it has just received a US Notice of Allowance on the composition of its proprietary formulation for use in functional food. The company already holds a worldwide patent covering its plant-based Toddler and Infant formulas, and supplemental nutrition for adults including patents for the composition, which provides the necessary proteins, amino-acids and other nutrients needed in a single food serving. “This development is of monumental importance; it paves the way for future planned product expansion beyond the baby, toddler and kids’ markets,” Else Nutrition co-founder and CEO Hamutal Yitzhak said in a statement.
Royal Road Minerals Limited announced that Liz Wall had resigned as non-executive chairman and director of the company effective immediately due to personal reasons. The firm said it will begin a search for an independent director to replace Ms Wall on its board of directors. American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC) has restarted production of its McCoy Elkhorn processing and logistics complex as well as its Carnegie 1 mine. The Carnegie 1 mine produces high-quality, metallurgical carbon from the Alma carbon seam which is used for steel making. Additionally, American Resources said it has signed sales commitments for the current fourth quarter of 2021's production at its Carnegie 1 mine.
DGTL Holdings Inc has struck a new software services agreement with an international client for its Hashoff 2.0 product. The New York-based technology holdings company said that the client, a leading advocacy organization, will spend $250,000 for a one-month global campaign that leverages Hashoff’s video-based applications. In a statement, DGTL said that the contract is a new key account to add to Hashoff’s customer base while expanding its global footprint.
BioVaxys Technology Corp. (CSE:BIOV, OTCQB:BVAXF) has announced that a poster highlighting pre-clinical data on its coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine candidate BVX-0320, will be presented at a joint three-day virtual conference of the International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Virus Diseases (ISIRV) and the World Health Organization (WHO), starting on October 19, 2021. The Vancouver-based biotechnology company is leveraging its haptenized antigen technology platforms to develop vaccines to potentially treat viral infections such as SARS-CoV-2. "This is the first peer-reviewed presentation of our work on BVX-0320 in mice. We expect it to be well received by the scientific community because it is novel and the data convincing," BioVaxys chief medical officer David Berd said in a statement.
Karora Resources Inc has announced drill results from the 50C nickel trough at its Beta Hunt mine in Western Australia, which included 5.3% nickel over 2.2 metres (m) and 4.0% nickel over 3.5m. The company said the results further support the 50C nickel trough as having similar mineralization to the historic Beta Zone, which has produced in excess of 32,000 tonnes of nickel metal at an average grade of 2.6% nickel.

Candelaria Mining Corp. (TSX-V:CAND, OTC:CDELF) has provided further insight with respect to the status of one of its lenders, Accendo Banco S.A. The company said it has learned that the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission notified Accendo of the revocation of its authorization to organize and operate as a multiple banking institution due to Accendo falling below the regulatory minimum levels of liquidity coverage ratio of the institution. Candelaria has a US$9.0 million loan facility in place with Accendo and to date has drawn US$1.5 million under the loan facility. The company anticipates that its ability to draw any further funds from its loan facility with Accendo may be impaired by these developments. The company said it was not expecting to draw additional funds under the loan facility in the short term. Accordingly, Candelaria does not expect any material impact from these developments. The company said its board will continue to monitor the situation and provide a corporate update in the event of any new developments.
Fidelity Minerals Corp. (TSX-V:FMN) has said that as a result of a review by the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC), the company is clarifying its disclosure set out in a July 21, 2021 news release, its corporate website, and two presentations posted to the website. These disclosures are treating historical resources at the Las Huaquillas property as current resources and have triggered the requirement of the company to file a NI 43-101 Technical Report under section 4.2(2) of NI 43-101. Fidelity Minerals said it acknowledges that the mineral resources mentioned are not supported by a current and compliant NI 43-101 technical report, contrary to NI 43-101, and therefore that the estimates should not be relied on until they have been verified and supported by a technical report. The company said it will commence work immediately on writing a NI 43-101 technical report for the Las Huaquillas property. The NI 43-101 technical report will not report current mineral resources, but will report resources as being historical in nature. Additional work will need to be done to classify mineral resources on the Las Huaquillas property as current. The timeframe to complete publication of this NI 43-101 technical report will be six to eight weeks. Once completed, Fidelity Minerals said it will file the current and compliant NI 43-101 technical report on SEDAR.

Stifel GMP has initiated coverage of HighGold (TSX-V:HIGH, OTCQX:HGGOF) Mining Inc, giving the exploration company a ‘Buy’ rating. The broker has also placed a C$3.15 target price on HighGold (TSX-V:HIGH, OTCQX:HGGOF), saying the JT Main deposit at its Johnson Tract project in Southcentral Alaska is “the kind of deposit mining engineers dream about”. Stifel's analysts said in a note to clients. “A more 'mineable' orebody we have rarely seen. The deposit sits in the mountain above the valley floor, providing low-cost adit access underground for a mine that will not require dewatering. The highest grade portions of the deposit are situated near the base allowing for a quick payback period on initial capital.”
